Denmark publishes two Positive Lists of jobs it is short of: one for people with a higher education (164 job titles) and one for skilled workers (63 job titles), updated on 1 July 2026. A job offer for a listed job gives a route to a Danish work permit.

Who can apply

You need a job offer in Denmark for a job title on one of the two Positive Lists, with Danish pay and conditions, plus the education (and authorisation, where required) for that job. Check the exact conditions and fees on the New to Denmark website before applying.
