Canada Express Entry 2026 – Priority Draws for French Speakers and Health-Care Workers (Permanent Residence)
In 2026 Canada is continuing its Express Entry priority categories for candidates with strong French, health-care and social-services workers, and trades, and has added categories for doctors, researchers and senior managers with Canadian work experience, and transport jobs. Strong French is a real advantage for applicants from francophone Africa.
Who can apply
You must first qualify for Express Entry (skilled work experience, language tests, education assessment) and create a profile. Canada then holds special draws for people with strong French skills and for listed health-care and social-services jobs. An invitation is not guaranteed. Profiles and applications are free to create on canada.ca; only government fees apply.
